Poet Biography

Anna Lombardo

ANNA LOMBARDO was born in Locri (Calabria), Italy, in 1955. She received her
degree in English literature at the University of Venice, where she lives and teaches.
She has published three books, including Even the Fish are Drunk, and has worked as an editor for the poetry magazine Le Voci della Luna/The Voices of the Moon. She has a firm belief that poetry can save the world and humanity from self destruction. That’s why, as a cultural activist, she organizes poetry events—to give voice to those who have not been heard.
